Danny has been the Energy Manager for Arlington Independent School District (AISD) since 2014. During his time as the District's Energy Manager, Danny has helped create resource conservation and environmental awareness programs for the Arlington school district. Arlington's Energy Management program has been recognized at the state and national levels for reducing Arlington's carbon footprint and putting more financial resources back into the classroom. These recognitions include the National Sustainability award from the Facility Maintenance Decisions magazine for a district-wide energy upgrade project and was also spotlighted in 2020 by the Texas Energy Managers Association (TEMA) as the Energy Management Program of the Year. Danny also received recognition in 2019 as the Texas Outstanding School District Energy Manager of the Year from the Texas Energy Summit (TES), and in 2020, Danny was recognized by the Texas Energy Managers Association (TEMA) as Energy Manager of the year.
Danny has given many presentations at TEMA, TASBO, CATEE, TES, NTMWD Symposium, and the local AEE chapter. He is an Accredited Energy Manager and Master Energy Manager, past President of the Texas Energy Manager Association, TASBO Certified Texas School Business Official, holds a state Class A combination HVAC license and is an adjunct instructor with Tarrant County College.
